Current and Upcoming Programs

Community-Building Intercultural Exchange Program

Join us from July 14 - August 14, 2024 for our completely free, virtual Community-Building Intercultural Exchange Program! During this 5-week program, you will immerse yourself in the languages, histories, and practices of various international cultures through direct peer-to-peer dialogue while also building civic leadership and professional skills.

At the end of the program, you will have built a strong foundation of lifelong cross-cultural empathy, friendship, and collaboration. You will also have developed a proposal for and be prepared to lead a globally relevant service project in your local community.

    Our annual summer IEP brings together teens from across the world to cultivate intercultural friendship, study international languages, learn about global issues, build civic leadership skills, and organize high-impact community service projects.

  • Oregon State University Talented & Gifted Program: Winter Wonderings

    February 2021

    As part of OSU’s Winter Wonderings Program for TAG students, we taught two 6-week courses, Cultures of the World and Pandas, Potstickers, and Pinyin: Welcome to China, to 29 3rd-5th graders from across Oregon.

  • Virtual Cultural Discovery Camp

    December 2020

    For one week during winter break, 34 elementary schoolers from across the United States learned about a new culture every day through an interactive morning lesson and hands-on afternoon activity.

  • Boys & Girls Club: Around the World Summer Camp

    Summer 2021

    During this weeklong camp conducted in August at the Boys and Girls Club of Albany, 24 incoming 3rd-5th graders learned about various world cultures through in-person activities, lessons, cooking, and crafts.

  • Cultural Connections Writing Competition 2022

    What does culture mean to you? What does culture mean in today’s world? With the writings of our participants we gained invaluable knowledge about how young people around the world are conceptualizing themselves, their cultures, and the future of global connections and intercultural relations.

“My favorite parts of this camp were the parts where we cooked noodles and when we cooked moon cakes, which I especially loved. This was my favorite part because one they both ended up amazing, and two because both could have so many different ways of making. For example, I made moon cakes with pork and potatoes instead of bean paste, and those turned out great too!”
